Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

Personal:

I'm married, with two sons, 17, and 18.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I ran my first race 3 days after my 40th birthday. (Disney)

Every now and then, I think about this dude running with a decomposing deer skull strapped to his back, and it cracks me up. That guy used to have the best daily running reports, full of pictures. It was like he was marketing trail running for a job.

Hood route to legacy trail and back. Longest run since 11/24/23. 2 reasons for this:

1. Large equipment removing branches, and trail clearing right now. so doing laps on the trails is out today.

2. My company has offered to pay for my race entry to a local half or 5k around St. Patrick's Day. I have been bummed about running since my last race in April. But the possibility of the return of "Fatty McButterpants", and having my company pay for it, might be enough of a push to get me into a training mode for the next 2 months. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.
