Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

I'm married, with two sons, 17, and 18.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I ran my first race 3 days after my 40th birthday. (Disney)

10.2 miles. Hood route to Legacy Trail to Colonia and back. Very slow. Like maybe I saw a snail pass me at one point. Then church. Then 3 on 3 basketball for an hour and a half, with my sons and some guys we met at the court. Maybe the most fun I've ever had playing basketball. Then 45 minutes of soccer. Then Dairy Queen. Now I'm just chilling.

p.s. I signed up for Brookings Marathon last night. Where do you go for your 24th wedding anniversary? South Dakota, of course. 

PM: 1.5 up. (4) x 800M, w/ 400M AR. 1.5 down. 3:11, 3:09, 3:10, & 3:08. I was tempted to go for more, but then I thought I should ease back into this kind of stuff.
