Publix Fort Lauderdale A1A Half Marathon - 1/26/20. PR.

Gasparilla 15k Tampa AAARGH you ready to run? - 2/22/20. Don't put up an ugly time.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

Personal:

I'm married, with two sons, 13, and 14.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I ran my first race 3 days after my 40th birthday. (Disney)

7.5 miles. Hood Route. 5:45 am start. 58:34. 7:48 pace. 55 deg., 93% hum., 55 d.p. 

Have mercy baby, and hand me downs. It was just a few years ago, you'd hand me ups and map right out of town. 

Track stuff tonight. Repeat miles. My mom is timing me. It should be fun. 

Yasir, I did not bring my A game to the track. A bunch of stuff went wrong, I had trouble getting my head in the right place. So, this is what I ended up with:

2 up + strides. 3 min rest. 800 in less than 3:00 (1st lap 1:20). 3 min rest. 1600 in 6:09. 3 min rest. 1600 in 6:18. 3 min rest. 800 in 3:03. 2 down.

These are good numbers Tom. you know what the say about your 800s times. that it should be your marathon time so you are looking sub 3:00 IF EVERY THING GOES RIGHT.

Yeah, they say that, if you are doing, like, 8-10 of them in a row, with active recoveries! I am not in that kind of shape.

I am more concerned about how bad I fell off between the 2 1600's. That's not consistent enough. I know I'm still coming back from an injury, but I'd like to think I could do better than that. Maybe next week.

lets get it next week thats's winners attitude. I Never had good luck with mile repeates I get injured the folowing week every time I do them.
