Short-Term Running Goals:

2019 GOALS:

Bring running fast back.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

Personal:

I'm married, with two sons, 12, and 14.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I ran my first race 3 days after my 40th birthday. (Disney)

3.5 miles. hood route. 6 am start. I had planned on taking it easy this morning, because of soccer last night. But then there were 2 other runners on my route, which is, like, 2 more than usual. So I had to race them, without them knowing it. The pace this morning was something I haven't done in a long time. They might have not known they were racing, but they lost.

Oh yeah, I'm considering my first Half Marathon:

One of the people I was "racing" gave the slightest indication that her speed was picking up, and then it was ON! I may have got close to my 400M pace.

Lately, I have been having trouble with cars. Specifically, people that like to stop in the middle of a 45 mph 4 lane roadway, to wave me across a shopping center entrance driveway. They are so considerate and polite, that they will eventually be rear - ended by a garbage truck.
