10.2 Mi Hood route to Legacy Trail to Colonia and back. First five in 42:10 last 3 in 23:58. I was angry about yesterday effort, so I ran harder today.

Be careful out there, you’re under 50 days till your next marathon and your body is getting worn down mentally, physically and spiritually. Your defenses are down. “Use the force Luke” “Plan your run” and “Run your Plan” !!!! It’s no time to do anything stupid or heroic and screw up a training cycle before your planned marathon! I run faster angry. I can't fake it either. If I have a chip on my shoulder I can do well. Looks like you harnessed that, nice run.

Fear of a poor performance is either the path to injury or PR.
Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to running faster/farther/more often. Running faster/farther/more often leads to either suffering from injury or breakthrough races.
I don't know. Maybe I'm making a big deal out of beating the 8 minute man for the first time in a while! I do know, though, that when I have a bad run, I am looking for redemption as fast as I can get it.
The "plan" is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules. Or am I mixing too many movie references?
