Short-Term Running Goals:

2023 GOALS:

Coastal Delaware Running Festival Marathon - 4/16/23 - Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

Personal:

I'm married, with two sons, 17, and 18.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I ran my first race 3 days after my 40th birthday. (Disney)

Part of the reason I didn't run 1/29/13:

Get off my sidewalk, people!

At 10 seconds into this video, there is a pretty good shot of the Ringling Bridge that I run @ 3 times per week.

Wow, that is a gutsy dude.

I wish I lived there - seems like it would feel like I'm on vacation every day. I'm sure you just get used to it though, but SW Oklahoma is just depressing 24/7.

He had to get approval from a dozen entities to walk across US 41. This makes me think I really need to put more planning into my runs.

I try not to take living here for granted. Are you being held against your will in Oklahoma? Free SlowJoe! Free SlowJoe!

I am definitely actively looking for a different job...maybe a nationwide Free SlowJoe campign would help!

Lots more scenery than where I live and run :-)

Ah the "ringling bridge," with another 4-5" of snow today, that suuuuure looks nice. Tear it up!

They just posted the view from the pole. He's talking while he walks across. This is crazy! Especially the last 10-15 feet of the walk, where he runs.
