Short-Term Running Goals:

2018 GOALS:

March 17- St. Patty's Day 8k

May 12 - Brookings SD Marathon

One Tempo Run, One Interval Workout, and One Long Run per week. 50-60 mpw. The world's most simple training plan.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

Personal:

I'm married, with two sons, 11, and 12.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I ran my first race 3 days after my 40th birthday. (Disney)

16.25 miles. Hood route to Legacy Trail to circus bridge and back. Inspired by IJR's long run, I just ran it. Longest run since March of last year. Dang near perfect weather. 50 degrees. Overcast. Low humidity. No breeze.

Excellent run Tom. Well done. That's one I was supposed to do today, but didn't.

Got any races planned for 2018?

Tom, I know you mean marathons, but I'm not in marathon shape right now. I'm going to try and get ready for the St. Patty's Day 8k, and then see where I am. Maybe in May?

From Tom Slick on Sun, Jan 21, 2018 at 15:16:20 from 66.87.126.105

TomK - No, I meant any race from the most difficult to run 5ks up to the super duper ultra marathons....
