Short-Term Running Goals:

2023 GOALS:

Coastal Delaware Running Festival Marathon - 4/16/23 - Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

Personal:

I'm married, with two sons, 17, and 18.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I ran my first race 3 days after my 40th birthday. (Disney)

5.5 miles. Hood route. 6:30 am start. 50 deg and no wind. Almost perfect. Track stuff later.

6:15 pm. At track. 2 up. 4 by 800 (2:57, 2:58, 3:00, 3:01). 2 down. it was crowded during warm up. So crowded that antisocial wrong direction board shorts guy had to go in the right direction. Everyone was gone by the end of warm up. It was tough to keep focus tonight.

I've been watching your weather lately. Well.. Tampa's, but close enough. Is this the same board shorts guy from about a year ago?

Fast stuff. Nice work.

Same guy. At first, i thought he was weaing headphones, and maybe couldn't hear me say hi. But he's just one of those people that doesn't want to say anything, i guess.

He doesn't have a backwards visor, does he?

I was introduced to SBVD about 10 months ago. I still don't like him. I also don't see him too often, now that I'm not running the Ringling Bridge anymore. This guy (antisocial wrong direction board shorts guy) started showing up at the track on Wednesdays about a year ago. And since he runs in the wrong direction, I pass him, like, 2 times a lap. One week, I'm going to say something different to him every time we pass each other, just to see what happens.

he's probably just shy. :) you should try to throw jelly beans in his mouth. or you could also wear board shorts and just have a silent bonding moment.

nice job with the 800s
