Short-Term Running Goals:

FALL 2016 GOALS:

11/5 - Savannah RNR Marathon.

11/20 - My buddy is running the Ironman Phoenix. I'm bringing the whole family out to cheer him on, as well as take in some sights. If anyone has any suggestions for things that we HAVE TO see while we are out there for a week, let me know. We plan on spending a couple of days at the Grand Canyon, but beyond that, it's kind of wide open.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

Personal:

I'm married, with two sons, 10, and 9.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I ran my first race 3 days after my 40th birthday. (Disney)

7.5 miles. Hood route to Legacy trail and back. Sometimes, it pays off to live in a place where homebuilding is constant. Porta johns are everywhere.

8:30 pm. at track. 2 up. (4) x 1200 < 5:00, 400 easy. 1 down. 4:39 (oops), 4:58, 4:55, 5:00. Drizzle throughout. Rain for realz - #4 and cool down.

5.5 miles. Hood route. 6 am start. I took a couple of days off. Saturday 's run left me with a sore lower back. So i chilled for a bit. I'm much better now.

On a completely unrelated note, does it feel like Runner's World magazine is trying really hard to make "Rungry" happen?
